A Lion Air flight carrying 172 people made a water landing on Saturday morning off the coast of Bali after overshooting the runway at Bali International Airport. Surprisingly, no deaths were reported and about 45 people may have suffered injuries. Authorities say the plane is new and the pilot was fit to fly, although it is not clear whether the same pilot was flying the plane the entire time, as Lion Air pilots are limited to 8 hours of flying per day.
