Planned Parenthood said Thursday that it would close four of its 12 clinics located in Iowa as a result of a measure backed by Republican Gov. Terry Branstad. The measure blocks public money for family-planning services to abortion providers. Health centers in Bettendorf, Burlington, Keokuk, and Sioux City will close June 30. The four clinics served 14,676 patients in the last three years, said Susan Allen, a spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of the Heartland. “It will be devastating,” she said.
