Does this Mafia war? After the arrest of 127 alleged mobsters, police sources say gangsters could spark a lethal mob war. Last week, the FBI sweep took down the leadership of the notorious Colombo crime family, who were outed using taped conversations from family members. Law-enforcement sources and the New York Post report the informants are now a major target for the mob. Family “members” take an oath of silence and are expected to honor it, but the now leaderless Colombo family is looking for the “rats” who spilled their secrets. The Post reports there are still 40 family members on the street.
