Trump Organization employees on Monday abandoned the Trump International Hotel in Panama City after a 12-day standoff with the hotel's owners. The owners seized control of the property with the help of police officers and a Panamanian judicial official, who escorted them onto the premises. Orestes Fintiklis, the private equity investor who owns the hotel, sought to remove Trump management from the property last year. Fintiklis and others had attempted to fire the Trump employees, but they refused to give up physical control of the property. Fintiklis called the situation “a commercial matter that had spun out of control.” The Trump Organization did not respond to a request for comment from the Associated Press.
