Police have discovered the bodies of several other women believed to be sex workers like Gilbert, but while they think a single serial killer is responsible for those other deaths, police argue that Gilbert, on the other hand, drowned. Gilbert's disappearance sparked the hunt for a potential serial killer targeting prostitutes.
