Washington, D.C., police announced that they are investigating Meet the Press after David Gregory, the host, displayed what he said was a high-capacity ammunition magazine. The incident occurred during Gregory’s interview with National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre on Sunday, while the two were discussing whether high-capacity ammunition should be banned. But Washington, D.C., law stipulates “No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device” even if it is not attached to a firearm. A police spokeswoman confirmed, “We are investigating this matter.”
