Time may be running out. Police are canvassing Southern California in search of 13 people, including children as young as 3, suspected of being in a suicide cult. The group of El Salvadoran immigrants, all members of a break-off religious sect, disappeared this weekend, leaving behind letters that said they were awaiting the Rapture. "Essentially, the letters say they are all going to heaven to meet Jesus and their deceased relatives," a police spokesman said. "Some of the letters were saying goodbye." The group is led by Reyna Marisol Chicas, who allegedly “brainwashed” her followers. Police were alerted to the case when they were shown the contents of a purse that one woman left with her husband.
