Police Search Pennsylvania for Escapees

Police are investigating possible sightings of escaped murderers David Sweat and Richard Matt in Pennsylvania's Allegheny County, around 500 miles away from Clinton Correctional Facility, the prison where they escaped. Witnesses reported seeing two men walking near a rail yard in the town of Erwin, New York; two men with the same description were then seen heading toward the Pennsylvania state line last Sunday. A corrections officer at the prison has been put on administrative leave for his alleged role in the escape plot. Further information about the officer’s identity and role was not made public.
