Police in northern California have launched a manhunt for two women in a dark SUV thought to be involved in the abduction of a local mother of two who said she was held against her will for weeks. Sherri Papini’s disappearance three weeks ago prompted panic and disbelief, but questions remain over her ordeal even after she was found on Thursday in Yolo County, California. The 34-year-old went missing while jogging on Nov. 2. Papini, who was spotted on the side of a road on Thursday, said she was held against her will for weeks but had freed herself from her restraints. Two women in a dark SUV were reportedly somehow involved in her abduction, police said, and they are thought to be armed. The motive is unclear at this time. Papini is now in stable condition at an undisclosed hospital as police continue their investigation.
