Police: Son Put Shotgun to Mom’s Head in ‘Wife Swap’ Killing

Twenty-five-year-old Jacob Stockdale, who stands accused of killing his mother and brother in their Ohio home last week, allegedly used a shotgun to commit the murders, police say. The family appeared on the reality-TV show Wife Swap. Stockdale reportedly fired twice at his mother, Kathryn, 54, shooting her in the head and then leaving her body in an upstairs bathroom. Stockdale then shot his younger brother, James, 21, near the front door, before unloading the weapon on himself. Stockdale shot himself in the face with the firearm multiple times but somehow still survived. He was trying to communicate with authorities when they arrived on scene, TMZ reports, but they could not understand him. He remains in critical condition.
