An Alabama woman was charged with felony animal cruelty Friday after investigators say she lied about a pregnancy for seven months and then killed a dog to fake a miscarriage. Anita Parker, 43, was taken to the hospital for what she claimed was a pregnancy-related emergency, but doctors revealed she had never been pregnant. Upon returning home, her boyfriend discovered the mutilated corpse of his daughter’s Chihuahua in a garbage can. Sheriff’s deputies allege Parker used the dog’s blood and tissue to stage a miscarriage.
