Poll: 59 Percent of Americans Oppose Paris Accord Pullout

According to a new ABC/Washington Post poll, 59 percent of Americans oppose President Donald Trump's move to withdraw from the Paris climate deal. Just 28 percent of those polled supported leaving the climate agreement. The poll found growing dissatisfaction with Trump's climate stance. 46 percent of respondents "strongly" opposed the pullout, up seven points from a similar poll in January. Only 18 percent of respondents strongly supported leaving the accord. Of those polled, 55 percent said leaving the Paris accord will hurt U.S. leadership in the world. Only 18 percent said leaving the agreement would strengthen the U.S.'s leadership role.
