A majority of Americans—67 percent—believe Donald Trump should choose between being president and a businessman, according to a new Bloomberg national poll. Still, 69 percent of respondents do not believe he should be forced to sell off his empire. Fifty-one percent of participants said they are confident the real-estate mogul will put the country’s interests ahead of his family’s financial gains when making decisions, including those involving foreign leaders. Trump has said he will distance himself from his family business, with more details expected at a Dec. 15 press conference in New York City.
