Who would like giving money away? Not the Germans, who overwhelmingly oppose a new European Union $175 billion rescue package for Greece, according to an opinion poll by the Emnid Institute. The news comes a day before the German Parliament is to vote on approving the bailout, and at least a dozen deputies to Chancellor Angela Merkel are expected to say no to the measure. But it’s still expected to pass, as opposition parties will likely approve it.
