Pope Benedict XVI arrived in Lebanon on Friday on a three-day trip that he has called a “peace pilgrimage,” as a fresh wave of violence roils the Middle East. On the airplane, the pope called for an end to the import of arms in Syria and hailed Lebanon for keeping the peace between two different faiths upon arriving in the city. Meanwhile, one person was killed in Tripoli, Lebanon, at a KFC when armed protesters stormed the restaurant, Lebanese security forces said.
