Pope Francis Exposes 'Gay Lobby'

Didn’t see that coming. Pope Francis confirmed that a “gay lobby” is present in the Vatican during a meeting Sunday. The Chilean website Reflection and Liberation was first to report the comments. “It is true, it is there. We need to see what we can do,” Francis disclosed. What a “gay lobby” means, no one can be sure. “We don’t have any explanation,” Vatican watcher Rocco Palmo said on Catholic news-and-church-politics website Whispers in the Loggia. It isn’t the first time Francis has been known to speak informally on church conflicts, though this particular conversation surely raises the bar.
