Pope's Peace Doves Attacked

This is why we don't have world peace. In a gesture that should have been quietly moving, children standing alongside Pope Francis in St. Peter's Square released white doves. However, a seagull and a large black crow that were set free from a window of the Apostolic Palace swooped down to attack the doves, bruising two and causing one to lose its feathers. We can only assume the children were traumatized.
