Authorities said on Friday that the death of a potential witness in the mobster James "Whitey" Bulger trial was the result of poisoning. William Camuti is being charged with attempted murder in the killing of Stephen Rakes, whose body was found in the woods near Boston last month. Police said Camuti allegedly laced Rakes's McDonald's coffee with two teaspoons of potassium cyanide. But investigators say the murder is not linked to the Bulger case, and Rakes may have owed Camuti money. Earlier Friday, Bulger called his trial "a sham" and announced he wouldn't testify.
