Midnight showings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 3,700 theaters in the U.S. and Canada Friday morning raked in $24 million--just shy of hitting the box-office record for midnight openings set by Twilight Eclipse. Hallows is expected to top $100 million in ticket sales through Sunday, making it the biggest grossing weekend for the series. Many say the movie will bring in $400 million or more during its theatrical run. The second part of the Deathly Hallows film is set to be released on July 15.
