The winner of the $1 billion Powerball drawing has not come forward, but the owners of the store that told the winning ticket are celebrating. Under California law, Las Palmitas Mini Mart in Los Angeles will collect a cool million for its part in the big jackpot. “It’s a big surprise for us,” owner Navor Herrera told reporters who mobbed his store near Skid Row. “We are trying to still believe this, because it is great news and not everyone can handle it.”
