Robert Lewis Dear, the 59-year-old in police custody suspected of barricading himself inside a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood on Friday and killing a police officer and two civilians, reportedly brought “several” suspicious items with him into the clinic, prompting authorities to check for explosives. As of Saturday morning, police say the items have been secured and processed and are no longer a threat. Dear surrendered to police after a roughy seven hour-long standoff. He is currently being interviewed by authorities.
