President Trump took to Twitter early Thursday to briefly wish the nation a Happy Thanksgiving before launching into a tirade about the “bedlam, chaos, injury, and death” that will result if Supreme Court Justices don’t side with him. Refusing to let Chief Justice John Roberts have the last word in a spat sparked by an immigration ruling earlier this week, Trump continued to blast California’s Ninth Circuit, where a federal judge temporarily barred the president from enforcing a ban on asylum seekers at the U.S.-Mexico border. “Justice Roberts can say what he wants, but the 9th Circuit is a complete & total disaster. It is out of control, has a horrible reputation, is overturned more than any Circuit in the Country, 79%, & is used to get an almost guaranteed result,” Trump wrote. He went on to claim judges are “making our Country unsafe” with their rulings on immigration policies. “Our great Law Enforcement professionals MUST BE ALLOWED TO DO THEIR JOB! If not there will be only bedlam, chaos, injury and death. We want the Constitution as written!” he wrote. Trump’s latest comments come after Justice Roberts issued a rare rebuke of the president earlier this week for deriding the federal judge who ruled against him as an “Obama Judge.”
