One trend cropping up on the runways this week that we can get behind (if only by name) is an outpouring of savage, beastly prints and furs. The Times notes models strutted down the catwalks wearing monkey furs (bringing to mind Marlene Dietrich's turn in Blonde Venus), and even fox, goat, and Mongolian lamb pelts. "Unruly, downright primitive, suggesting something feral lay just beneath the skin," notes The Times. PETA is not going to know where to begin this year.
