Britain’s Prince Philip was hospitalized Tuesday for an infection but remains in “good spirits,” said a spokesman for Buckingham Palace. The 96-year-old husband to Queen Elizabeth will miss the formal opening of Parliament because of his hospital stay. Officials said he was admitted as a precautionary measure. He recently stepped away from public events and has suffered heart ailments in the past.
