Private Plane Lands Carrying $2M Drugs

A private plane carrying 50,000 Ecstasy pills, 90 pounds of raw MDMA, $20,000 in cash, one aspiring model, and a pilot landed in Southern California Oct. 9 after a trip to Las Vegas. Both the model and pilot are Canadian. According to federal court documents, authorities were alerted to the presence of the plane because it had previously been used in drug trafficking. Drug sniffing dogs then detected the drugs—worth roughly $2 million—in the passengers’ luggage.
