Prosecutor: Biker Cop 'Terrorized’ Family

An NYPD undercover detective is among seven bikers facing charges for chasing an SUV through Manhattan; surrounding the vehicle; dragging the driver, Alexian Lien, from his car; and severely beating him while his wife and 2-year-old daughter watched. Wojciech Braszczok, who prosecutors say “terrorize(d) the rest of the driver’s family on the other side of the vehicle” and smashed the rear window, was charged with two counts of felony assault and third-degree criminal mischief. Assistant District Attorney Samantha Turino described the 10-year veteran as an “active participant” in the “brutal and brazen attack on the driver and his family.” Braszczok’s attorney denies any guilt, saying his client was merely pursuing the driver after he ran over a biker.
