Prosecutors have filed papers asking the court the drop all charges against Dominique Strauss-Kahn. Earlier, in a last-ditch effort to prevent criminal charges against DSK from being dropped, Nafissatou Diallo appealed to a judge on Monday to take the current prosecutors off the case. Her lawyers said the Manhattan district attorney's office had engaged in “abuse of confidence, unfair treatment, bias and prejudices” in dealing with Diallo and therefore shouldn’t be qualified to make a final decision on her case. Prosecutors are expected to dismiss all sexual-assault and rape charges against Strauss-Kahn because of alleged holes in Diallo’s story. Though there is no doubt that a sexual encounter occurred, her lack of credibility makes it difficult to prove the encounter wasn’t consensual. A spokeswoman for the district attorney's office declined to comment.
