Protesters Rappel From Deck at NFL Game

Protesting energy company backed by Bank of America.

Two activists rappelled from the upper balcony of Bank of America Stadium during the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts’ Monday Night Football game in Charlotte, North Carolina. The protesters unfurled a banner that read “BoA: Dump Dominion, WeAreCovePoint.org,” to decry the North Carolina energy company backed by Bank of America and their liquified natural gas facility. The activists later released a statement calling for B of A to cease financing for Dominion North Carolina Power. “They are giving money directly to Dominion with full knowledge of the health and safety risks of building an LNG export facility, and they need to be accountable to that,” the statement read.
