The pop star gave a wide-ranging interview to The Sunday Times in which he opened up about his trouble with alcohol, his addiction to cigarettes, and his abusive father. He called vodka his “best friend” and said that the only time he isn’t drinking is when he’s hung over. “If I’m happy, I’m drinking, if I’m sad, I’m drinking,” he said. “If it’s raining, I’m drinking, if it’s sunny, I’m drinking.”
