He may not be read his Miranda rights, but he will at least have a lawyer. Federal public defenders have agreed to represent Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing. Miriam Conrad, the Massachusetts federal defender, said on Saturday that her office expects to appoint a lawyer for Tsarnaev as soon as possible after he is charged because there are "serious issues regarding possible interrogation." U.S. officials said that Tsarnaev would not be read his Miranda rights and would be questioned by a special interrogation team for high-value suspects because of a public safety exception. As of Saturday afternoon, Tsarnaev, whose older brother was killed on Friday, remained in critical condition after being wounded in a gunfight with police.
