The Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a public hearing on Monday with Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who’s accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in high school. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said in a statement that the hearing will give Ford’s allegations a “full airing.” The hearing will take place at 10 a.m. ET. Both Kavanaugh and Ford earlier expressed their willingness to testify in front of the committee, with Ford’s lawyer saying her client is “willing to do whatever it takes to get her story forth.” After the hearing announcement, White House press secretary Raj Shah said that Kavanaugh “looks forward to a hearing where he can clear his name of this false allegation. He stands ready to testify tomorrow if the Senate is ready to hear him.”
