Pulse Owners Will Be ‘Guests of Honor’ at NYC Pride
NYC Pride announced Thursday that the owner and entertainment manager of Orlando’s Pulse nightclub will be honored guests at this weekend’s LGBT Pride rally and march. Barbara Poma, owner, and Neema Bahrami, entertainment manager, will visit the Big Apple and speak to the 4,000+ attendees of the Friday evening rally; and on Sunday, they will participate in the annual march, riding on its lead float. They will subsequently speak to crowds at a Pride street festival. 49 people were shot and killed nearly two weeks ago at their gay nightclub, in what was the deadliest mass shooting in American history.
