Tyler Trent, a Purdue University student who captivated the public with his passion for the school football team and his struggle with terminal bone cancer, died Tuesday at the age of 20. The Indianapolis Star reported that Trent was surrounded by his family when he succumbed to the disease he had fought for four years. The Purdue Boilermakers adopted Trent as a superfan and ESPN chronicled his battle and efforts to raise awareness about bone cancer.
