File this under “incredible.” A Frenchman, whose arms and legs were amputated, swam across the English Channel over the weekend. Philippe Croizon, 42, used leg prostheses with flippers attached to cross the channel in just 13 and a half hours—much faster than his estimation of 24 hours. “I did it, I'm happy, I'm so happy, I can't believe it, it's crazy,” Croizon told France-Info radio upon his arrival late Saturday. Three dolphins joined him for a while during his epic, 21-mile swim. “We took that as a sign of good luck,” the swimmer's father, Gerard Croizon, told The Associated Press. Croizon lost his arms and legs after being electrocuted in 1994 as he stood on a ladder adjusting his television antenna, which touched a power line. In 2007, he made headlines after parachuting from an airplane and has written a book about his experiences called J'ai decide de vivre (I decided to live).
