Queen Elizabeth II has been monarch of Britain for more than 60 years but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few firsts left in her career. On Friday, the queen welcomed visitors to a new Information Age gallery at London’s Science Museum by penning her first tweet from the official @BritishMonarchy account. “It is a pleasure to open the Information Age exhibition today at the @ScienceMuseum and I hope people will enjoy visiting. Elizabeth R” (the “R” stands for regina or queen). Shortly afterward, another tweet from the account read, “The last tweet was sent personally by The Queen from her official Twitter account @BritishMonarchy #TheQueenTweets”
