After winning gold at the Sochi Olympics, Dutch speedster Ireen Wüst went to celebrate a a party in her honor, which Russian President Vladimir Putin attended. Wüst told Dutch broadcast NOS that while there she "got a cuddle" from Putin, and she "congratulated him on [Russian speedskater] Olga Graf." Now, activist group Queer Nation is condemning her, saying “By embracing Vladimir Putin, a man who has tramped on the human rights of LGBT Russians, political dissidents, artists, undocumented immigrants, and others in Russia, Wust has endorsed his fascist agenda.”
