Quran-Burning Pastor Backs Down

Sigh of relief: Terry Jones, the Florida pastor who was planning a Quran bonfire on 9/11, has said he won't go through with this plans. The decisions follows much controversy: Fox News had said it would not air Pastor Terry Jones’ mass Quran burning on Saturday. "If we tried to cover everyone who wants us to stick a camera in front of them, we'd run out of cameras pretty fast each day,” senior vice president Michael Clemente tells Fox News. “But this is really about just using some judgment." CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS have all said they’ll cover the Quran burning as they would any other story. Clemente says, “There are many more important things going on in the world than that. I don't know what they will be this weekend, but I am sure they will be more important than that.” The Associated Press had also announced its intention not to distribute any footage of the actual event.
