R. Kelly Under Investigation in Georgia: Report

Singer R. Kelly is being criminally investigated in Georgia after a Lifetime docu-series outlined abuse allegations against him, TMZ reports. The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office reportedly opened an investigation into the abuse claims made by women featured in the Surviving R. Kelly series, and reached out to “several” of his accusers. Asante McGee, who’s said she escaped R. Kelly’s home, confirmed to TMZ that investigators reached out to her. An attorney for the family of Joycelyn Savage, another accuser, is reportedly “speaking to investigators.” Authorities are reportedly asking for the contact information of others who lived in Kelly’s former home in Atlanta and those with direct knowledge of what happened inside.
