We imagine they didn’t use the opportunity for self-reflection: An upcoming article by Vanity Fair National Editor Todd Purdum has Obama administration officials answering the question, “What’s the matter with Washington?”—or, as Rahm Emanuel apparently terms the city, “Fucknutsville.” Other than that colorful revelation, there’s nothing too profound in Vanity Fair’s teaser for the piece. Emanuel and President Obama apparently joking about never having to make another "decision, choice, or judgment." David Axelrod says, “There’s a relentlessness to this that’s unlike anything else, especially when you come into office in a time of crisis. We did not exactly ease into the tub. The world is so much smaller, and events reverberate much more quickly, and one person can create an event so quickly from one computer terminal.”
