Chicago has a new foul-mouthed mayor: Rahm Emanuel won Tuesday’s mayoral election. “You sure know how to make a guy feel at home,” Emanuel said in his victory speech—a joke about his difficulties in getting on the ballot. Emanuel avoided a runoff by winning 55 percent of the vote. His closest challenger was former Chicago school board member Gery Chico, who won about 24 percent of the vote. "What makes this victory most gratifying is that it was built on votes from every corner of this city," Emanuel said. He takes office May 16.
