A gloomy forecast didn't keep the die-hards from attending the annual Mermaid Parade at Coney Island.

A morning of stormy clouds hanging overhead and a heavy dose of midday showers didn't dampen the festivities of the 35th annual Mermaid Parade held at Coney Island on Saturday. Die-hard cosplayers flocked to the boardwalk to don their greatest in homage to the mythical underwater creatures. And, of course, a few faux-POTUSes were also present for the celebration.
