Senate, meet your first new Tea Partier: Republican Rand Paul has won the Senate seat in Kentucky, defeating Democrat Jack Conway. The GOP also picked up a Senate seat in Indiana, where Republican Dan Coats beat Democrat Brad Ellsworth for retiring Senator Evan Bayh’s seat.
