A Franklin County, Vermont, judge set bail Monday for actor Randy Quaid at $500,000. The actor and his wife were taken into custody as fugitives from justice after fleeing California, where they are wanted for felony vandalism charges. Quaid says he believed that the vandalized property in question still belonged to him, his lawyer said. He alleges the Independence Day star learned from the Internet that he missed a court appearance while in Canada.
