Rapper Beanie Sigel was taken to a local hospital Friday after being shot in the abdomen outside a house in New Jersey. Sigel, 40, is awake and listed in critical condition. Another man at the home was found injured, but authorities said he refused medical treatment and has been uncooperative. Pleasantville, New Jersey Police Chief Jose Ruiz says the two may have “some type of family relationship.” Sigel, whose real name is Dwight Grant, moved from a federal prison to a halfway house in August after serving two years for tax evasion.
