Red Sox Manager Diagnosed With Lymphoma

On Friday, 53-year-old Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell announced that he had stage 1 lymphoma. It was discovered during a hernia surgery earlier this week. Farrell, who led the baseball team to a World Series title in 2013, will begin chemotherapy treatment on Tuesday. The Sox’s bench coach Torey Lovullo will take over for Farrell for the remainder of the season.
