Reid Freezes Gun Bill

When it comes to Congress, there’s no day like tomorrow. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced Thursday that gun control legislation will be put aside as the Senate takes “a pause” on the bill. President Obama’s effort to curb gun violence was defeated in the Senate yesterday. On the Senate floor Thursday, Reid pledged to come back to the bill, saying, “Yesterday President Obama said it was a shameful day for the Senate, and it probably was, I agree. But we should make no mistake: this debate is not over, in fact this fight is just beginning.”
