Holt, a New Jersey Democrat, is a nuclear physicist by profession and was a five-time Jeopardy! champion three decades ago. In a special Congressional edition of the quiz show, Holt and four colleagues squared off against the machine. When the dust cleared, Holt had outdone Watson by $2,400.
