Report: A-Rod Visited BALCO Kingpin

For legal alternatives.

Dear Alex Rodriguez, visiting with the founder of BALCO does not make you look innocent. According to a report in Sunday’s Daily News, the beleaguered Yankee met with Victor Conte, who served four months in prison for an alleged role in a massive steroid conspiracy. Conte reportedly met with two investigators from Major League Baseball’s Department of Investigations last week, and reportedly described Rodriguez showed up uninvited on his doorstep in May 2012 with admitted BALCO frequenter Bill Romanowski. They allegedly wanted to discuss legal alternatives, Conte said. Conte’s wife, Veronica, said Rodriguez was “real secretive” when he came by, and the third baseman reportedly said “if the media knew I was talking to you, that would be bad.”
