President-elect Donald Trump was extremely critical of the Bush administration's foreign policy during the election and likewise former vice president Dick Cheney criticized Trump. But now, Cheney has been lobbying Republican senators to approve of Trump's selection of Rex Tillerson as the next Secretary of State. Senator Marco Rubio reportedly received a call from Cheney to attempt to influence his vote in what could be a tricky confirmation process due to Tillerson's ties to Russia. Cheney also reportedly speaks with vice president-elect Mike Pence regularly.
