The Obama administration is currently considering a covert cyber action against Russia in response to alleged interference in the U.S. election. The CIA has reportedly been asked to bring options to the White House for an operations designed to “embarass” the Kremlin leadership. Intelligence sources did not elaborate on what the plan would entail. Former intelligence officers told NBC that the CIA had allegedly already gathered documents that could expose tactics used by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
